Welcome to Diabolo Magic.
I love the game and sell Diabolo's thats made by myself here in South Africa. The Diabolo's are made out of very robust material and if looked after could last a lifetime.
I have also made a Dvd that teaches anybody who wants to play the Diabolo how to spin and control it,and furthermore teaches people how to do  specific tricks.Every Diabolo sold by me comes with my training Dvd ! 
I have found that kids from the ages of  6 up to 80 derive immense benefits and fun by playing this game and it is my hope to make it available to as many kids in South Africa as possible.

History of the Diabolo

The Diabolo originated in China and according to some people  is as old as two thousand years.Thats why it is also called a Chinese Yo -Yo.Originally it was made out of wood or bamboo with a wooden spindle and had holes in the body that created a whistling sound when it spined. According to some people, hawkers selling their wares at the side of the roads in China used to spin the whistling Diabolo's in order to attract customers.It was first brought to the west by a Frenchman in the early 1800's  .Since then it has been a popular juggling item in the western Circus.The rubber design was first made in the early 1900's and since then it has been popular from time to time in different European countries --Holland had a big craze in the 1950's--- nowadays it is taught as part of physical education in many schools all over the world.
